A mural in Eugene has been vandalized after Chinese spray paint artist Hua Tunan spent all of last week creating it.
The Register-Guard reports (http://bit.ly/2sin7gl ) employees at Vistra Framing and Gallery spent a couple of hours Tuesday morning scrubbing silver-and-gold graffiti off of the mural.
Tunan’s painting is of a battle between tigers and a dragon. It is part of Eugene’s Mural Project, which commissions artists from around the world to come to the city.
The vandal or vandals appeared to sign their tags on the Lawrence Street mural with a “3G” or “36.” Cameron Rich, a worker at Tactics Boardshop, says his store also was hit by similar graffiti about a week ago.
